Terms of use

Effective November 2, 2026. These terms cover geoknightgis.com and every GeoKnight GIS site, demo, map, data file and service on its subdomains (including globe, demo, maps and sheets).

1. Agreement

By using any GeoKnight GIS site, demo, map, tile, data file or API ("the Services"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Ownership

All content and code on the Services, including text, design, maps, map tiles, styles, datasets, derived data, reports and software, are proprietary to GeoKnight GIS. © 2026 GeoKnight GIS. All rights reserved. Third-party source data and libraries remain subject to their own licenses, but our selection, processing, compilation and presentation of them are ours.

3. What you may do

You may view the Services in a normal web browser for your own evaluation, one page or map view at a time, as a person would.

4. What you may not do

Unless we have given you written permission, you may not:

  • scrape, crawl, spider or harvest the Services or any data, maps or tiles on them;
  • bulk download data, tiles or files, or make requests faster or in greater volume than a person using a browser would;
  • access the Services through bots, scripts, headless browsers or any other automated means, or call our APIs and data files directly outside the pages we provide;
  • use any data, maps, tiles, images or other content from the Services to train, fine-tune, evaluate or build any artificial intelligence or machine learning model or dataset;
  • copy, republish, resell, sublicense or redistribute any data, maps, tiles or code from the Services, in whole or in part;
  • remove or hide copyright, attribution or ownership notices, or get around rate limits, access controls or other protections.

5. Demos are for evaluation only

Demos, sample data and maps are provided for evaluation only. They are provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. They are not official records of any agency and must not be relied on for legal, financial, insurance, engineering, survey, navigation or safety decisions.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GeoKnight GIS is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Services.

7. Monitoring and revocation

We may monitor use of the Services to enforce these terms. Our data may contain markers that identify copies. We may limit, suspend or revoke anyone's access at any time, without notice, for any reason, including a breach of these terms. Any written permission we give can also be withdrawn.

8. Paid work

Paid work and data licenses are governed by a separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement controls.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows when they took effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida.
